[Excuse the drama, but Sophia has been sleeping for a very long time now and I am bored.]For those of you who still aren't sure what I am talking about it's my wedding dress and I have no idea what to do with it. The first step seemed like to pick up the dress bag it lay crumpled in the bottom of and drag it into the family room. I was pleasantly surprised to find it in much better shape than I assumed. That must be some fabric because it wasn't even very wrinkled! Maybe I will be able to think better if I try it on. Well, it still fits! And since I wish I had worn better jewelry when I look at our wedding photos I tried on a short, delicate pearl necklace with a matching bracelet and earrings. Yes, if I had it to do over again I would definitely wear pearls. And that, my friends, is precisely the problem. It is without a doubt the most expensive dress I will ever own, yet I will never wear it again. Do I save it for sentimental reasons or sell it on e-Bay? Something about selling it doesn't feel right. But what good is it doing anyone hanging in a bag in my attic? And lets face it - how many girls really wanted to get married in their mom's wedding dress even IF she had saved it?
What did you do with your wedding dress? Is anyone else at a loss for what to do with theirs? Do I sell it on e-Bay and use the money for something Ben and I can enjoy now like a fancy dinner out or tickets to an event or do I file it under "N" for nostalgic memorabilia never to be parted with? HELP!
