We just got home from two weeks in sunny Central Washington. We had so much fun that Sophia tried to talk me into turning around and going back all the way home. It was sort of a surprise summer vacation because we only planned to stay the weekend, but Ben decided to fly home for work so the kids and I could stay for a long visit. Back home is pretty much the land of plenty when it comes to outdoor recreation, so we made good use of the time by finding lots of different places to go swimming, stopping for ice cream each time we passed Rusty's Drive-In and spending lots of time hanging out with my family. It was so relaxing and fun I'm already planning on doing it all over again next summer. Here are some picture highlights.

Ice cream on a hot day
I can still hardly believe it that I get to be a stay-at-home mom and enjoy this kind of stuff on a regular basis. I'm so thankful for a wonderful husband who makes it all possible and for the years I had to work more than I played. It helps me appreciate every day. Even the "tough" ones. ;)
